The official posters for the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and the 21st Asian Contents & Film Market, set to open this coming October, have been unveiled. This year's film festival puts the audience—not glamorous actors or directors on screen—at the forefront.

The core motif of this year's official poster is a 'crowd.' By capturing the images of actual audience members who visited last year's festival, it elevates them from mere viewers to the core agents who complete the film festival. It visualizes the message that a festival is finally completed when the experiences of countless audience members, each with their own narratives and perspectives, come together.

The poster planning and design were led by Art Director Choi Soon-dae, who has participated as an art director since the 2nd edition of the festival. Director Choi explained the concept, stating, "It has always been the audience filling the seats that completed the festival," adding that every single moment of audiences arriving at the venue and waiting for a film is a movie in itself.

Meanwhile, having kicked off full-scale preparations for the event with the release of the official poster, the 31st Busan International Film Festival will be held for ten days from Tuesday, October 6 to Thursday, October 15 around the Busan Cinema Center.
